Goldsmith's collection of photographs and illustrations comprises largely early 20th-century photographs of Kansas City districts and neighborhoods, as well as mid 20th-century reprints of mid to late 19th-century photographs. There are also several illustrations relating to Native American history and several photographs of historical sites in other Midwest states.
