Katherine Goldsmith had in her possession a number of primary source materials related to events in the Kansas City area from the early 19th century through the 20th century. The majority of the materials, such as abstracts of title and other construction documentation, relate to city development in Kansas City, Missouri. Other materials include 19th-century correspondence dating from the early settlement of Kansas through the Civil War.
