Scope and Contents

This series includes reproduction of original Frank Marshall Davis poetry, prose, correspondence, photographs, newspaper articles, and other documentation collated by John Edgar Tidwell and Beth Charlton, Davis's daughter, from various historical institutions. Materials relate to Davis's time at Kansas State Agricultural College (now Kansas State University), his time as executive editor at the Associated Negro Press, his years in Hawaii, as well as the 19-year FBI investigation into his political affiliations.

Oversize materials have been separated into appropriate housing and are listed at the end of the series.
