Materials sent by Irma Wassall to Tidwell in the 1990s relating to Wassall's poetic career, as well as issues affecting African Americans. Included are printouts of photographs of Wassall and Tidwell in an auditorium; a photocopy of a letter from Wassall to Kansas poet Kenneth Porter about Davis; newspaper clippings relating to Kwanzaa and a class action lawsuit for African American farmers; Reader's Digest articles by African American writers; and short columns written by Wassall for Down Beat, about music and clubs. Also includes a photocopy of "Water In a Basket" by I. Dos Ramos, Wassall's pseudonym, and a photocopy of Wassall's poem "Ante-Bellum".
