Original letters and envelopes from Davis's later correspondence while he was living in Hawaii. Included is correspondence with Carol Oukrop of Kansas State University (KSU) about personal travels, Black American Literature Forum, and connection to KSU; letters from former fraternity friends Claud L. Wilson and Theodore "Mouse" Miller, including a list of all former fraternity brothers; photocopy of Davis poem "Four Glimpses of Night" printed in American Negro Poetry and sent by Alison Koffler; letters from publishers; letter from Tidwell about interview publication and Dictionary of Literary Biography project; letters from Margaret Burroughs about her biography and Jazz Interlude publication process; correspondence with Howard University about the purchase of Davis's record collection; correspondence from Maryemma Graham about "Mississippi's Native Son: An International Symposium on Richard Wright" at the University of Mississippi; and a letter from English Bradshaw about the Livin' the Blues manuscript.
