Slides located at MS 354, 1952-1985, undated
Scope and Contents
The earliest dated slides are mostly color images KLI took of his high school in Fort Scott, Kansas. Slides from the 1950s-through 1985 are mostly travel and tourist scenes from Mexico and Europe. Also included in the series are several travel and tourist scene slides labeled "Jim Irby," and several images of Walt Whitman original material.
The titles in quotations are from Irby's inscriptions on the original container. Titles with no quotations have been inferred by processing staff from the subject content of the slides.

Arrangement
Spencer processor arranged slides chronologically by year and placed in archival slide boxes with card partitions to separate the "folders." These slide boxes have been placed together into a cubic foot box.
The slides have been removed from KLI's original paper and plastic slide containers. Many of the containers are inscribed by KLI. The containers have been retained and stored separately at the end of the slides grouping.
