This sub-series comprises manuscripts and photocopies, many with annotations by Orel, of publications by authors other than Orel, primarily relating to his research interests in British and Irish literature and marked up for possible use in Orel's anthologies. Topics represented include Matthew Arnold, Emily Brontë, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Thomas Hardy, Thomas Henry Huxley, Rudyard Kipling, and Sean O'Casey, as well as peer reviews of Orel's works.
