Scope and Contents
Records related to Spreckelmeyer's teaching career, including class syllabi and schedules for projects due, outlines and timelines, maps and reference materials, grading policies, correspondence, project management documentation for large-scale class projects, applications and submissions of student projects for awards, and other related materials. The series includes records related to coordinating class visits to various architectural offices and sites, as well as preparatory materials for individual classes and notes and correspondence related to coordinating classes amongst departmental colleagues and revising courses from year to year. Student work not related to an award submission has been removed from this series.
Spreckelmeyer taught design studios, seminars in architectural programming, and was instrumental in helping develop and administratively support the Studio 804 design/build program, in which students worked on architectural design and build projects from start to finish. He was also involved in various special teaching projects, including coordinating field trips and study abroad programs (notably to Chicago, Illinois and London, England) and providing guest lectures in other courses.
