Wednesday, February 12, 1817. Vol. III. No. 142. [manuscript ink inscription at top of verso, which is blank.] Appointment of a President of College. [The article about the appointment of a president of Yale College has the manuscript inscription at the end] J. Backus. [So it must have been written by Joseph Backus. Perhaps this is a proof sheet? Or this may have been printed as a single broadsheet and not as a full folded newspaper issue, but it is not possible to be sure. Both side margins are rather uneven and bottom right corner has been torn away so difficult to tell if text ends or not.]
