Scope and Contents
Item 1: Aodh De Blácam to Mrs [Martha P.?] Horan. Drom-mór, Warrenpoint, Co. Down, dated 20 Jan 41. 2 pages (2 pieces), autograph letter signed. Yes, I will write an introduction to Kelly's poems, but I do not know his data. I suggest using the post-card photo which Maire Nic Shiubhlaigh has.
Item 2: Browne & Nolan to Mrs M. P. Horan. 41 Nassau St, Dublin, dated 22 Jan 1941. Typed letter l page. Mr Nolan will have the contract ready on Friday.
Item 3: H[oran], MP [Martha P.], to de Blácam. 122 Lowe Baggot St, dated 23 Jan 1941. Carbon of a typed letter (initialed), l page. Browne & Nolan wish to have the book out by the beginning of March; Paddy's life.
Item 4: Browne & Nolan to Mrs M. Horan. Richview Press, Clonskeagh, dated 23 Jan 1941. Typed letter signed, l page. The contract; your claim to hold the copyright though not an executor.
Item 5: Browne & Nolan to Mrs Horan. 41 Nassau St., dated 17 Feb 1941. Typed letter signed, 1 page. The collection of poems lent to Mr O'Farachain of the broadeasting station.
Item 6: De Blácam to Mrs Horan. Drom-mór, Warrenpoint, Co. Down, dated 3 Mar 1941. Autograph letter signed, l page. Have sent proofs and foreword to Browne & Nolan; they should add a note about your generosity. You should have copies of the portrait sent to newspapers. Mrs Kelly says Paddy's second lad needs a job--I should think the Army during the emergency.
