Mariana Remple's correspondence spans the first half of the 20th century and is almost exclusively personal in nature. Included is correspondence with Henry Remple during his service in the US and abroad during World War II as well as during his graduate work at Stanford University; letters from Lucy and Robie as children; wedding cards; and miscellaneous personal correspondence with friends and family, both dated and undated. At the end of the series are two folders with a very small amount of correspondence addressed to Mariana's parents, Henry W. Lohrenz and Anna M. (Friesen) Lohrenz.
