The Remple family's photographic materials comprise negatives and photographic prints, primarily of Henry, Mariana, Lucy, Robie, and members of the Lohrenz family. The majority of the photographs were taken during visits to Mariana's parents in Hillsboro, Kansas in the late 1930s through the early 1940s. Earlier photographs come mostly from Mariana's family and family friends, with some individuals and locations identified and others unidentified. The later photographs are individual portraits of Robie and his classmates in their final year of junior high school.
