This series includes material on the Lathrop (also "Lothrop" in earlier material) lineage, mostly the descendants, ancestors, relatives, and friends of Melvin Stephen Lathrop (1819-1885) and Caroline Pinck Lathrop (1833-1924). The Lathrops moved to Irving, Marshall County, Kansas in 1879 from the Great Lakes area. One of their sons, Horace (H.) C. Lathrop (1864-1952) married Mary Frowe in 1888 and had five children: Leona, Howard, M. Byron, Evangeline (Eva or Eve), and Gordon.
