Photographs, 1850s-2010s
Scope and Contents
Photographs are arranged in a similar fashion to the manuscript materials located at RH MS 1510, in that photos are organized by family name. Some photographs, not identified with any particular family, are organized by location in Kansas.
Includes candids and formal portraits in black and white and color. The collection contains a large set of the 19th century photographics, including several different processes (tintypes, daguerrotypes, cabinet cards, etc.). Tintypes and cased photographs are housed at the end of the collection and described separately from the rest of the family photographs due to their fragility.
