Correspondence

Incoming and sometimes copies of outgoing correspondence between Wilson and colleagues (both those at the University of Kansas and at other institutions), as well as some personal correspondence. Topics range widely from matters regarding research (both Wilson's and colleagues), professional conferences and associations, arranging research trips, regarding matters in higher education and generally at academic institutions, etc.

This series in particular may overlap with materials in the Research and writing series, as well as other series found in this collection. A great deal of correspondence was found unfiled when additions were transferred to Spencer Research Library; no attempt has been made to file this material beyond the groupings in which it was initially found, though Wilson did sometimes note on the item under what topic or name correspondence should be filed. Wilson frequently signed letters or received them by his initials, TAW.
