Scope and Contents
Materials related to Wilson's research and writing processes. Includes reference materials, publishing contracts, correspondence, drafts of manuscripts, royalty statements, grant applications, reviews of published works as well as Wilson's reviews of other authors' works, etc. Includes documentation regarding Wilson's negotiations and arrangements for publications, including publications in which he served as (co-)editor or co-author.
Includes drafts of Wilson's dissertation, "Atlantic Meeting: The Roosevelt-Churchill Conference of August 1941," as well as materials particularly related to Three Generations in Twentieth Century America: Family Community and Nation (1981) and his work as co-editor of Makers of American Diplomacy (1974). Also in this series are materials related to histories he wrote or co-wrote for the Kansas Department of Transportation and Highway Commission and regarding the history of continuing education at the University of Kansas, among other publications.
Materials related to Three Generations include genealogical materials from some of the families represented in the book and some original documents, particularly from Wilson family members, some of which date from the 1940s-1950s.
