Precis: My sister and daughter have been ill since we came home, and my wife's sister Miss Hutchinson and one maid have been confined with rheumatic fever; Mrs W. "supports herself wonderfully." Can you help my younger son to become one of the three new Commissioners (Lord Lansdowne and Spring-Rice are the other two)?; his fitness; the Archbishop of Canterbury.
Recipient: probably Sir Henry Taylor, 1800-1886 (in Colonial Office; knighted 1872; friend of W and of Isabella Fenwick). Dating based on the fact that Sarah Hutchinson died in 1835.
