The Election Office, now exclusively under the purview of the County Clerk, was responsible for the planning and operation of elections in Douglas County, as well as for maintaining records relating to elections.

Included in the records of the Election Office are abstracts of votes cast and registers of party affiliations from various districts in Douglas County.
