Assessment rolls, 1863 - 1945

Assessment rolls are a record of real estate and personal property assessments for taxation, showing the name and address of the owner, school district number, legal description of tract or listings of the property, itemized values of information, and comparison with the previous years' taxes. These rolls are also known as work sheets for the County Treasurer's tax rolls.

Included are assessment rolls for Lawrence, Kansas and nearby townships including Baldwin, Clinton, Eudora, Grant, Kanwaka, Lecompton, Marion, Palmyra, Vinland, and Willow Springs.
