Copies of memoranda pertaining to dipomatic discussions of Hanoverian Alliance.

Leaves 2-5: Memoires pour servir d'instruction a Messieurs Sutton & Armstrong, sur un Plan des Operations a faire par les Allies.

Leaves 6-14 include a letter from H. [Horatio, Baron Walpole (1678-1757)] Walpole and J. Armstrong to the Duke of Newcastle, dated 21 April 1727 [New Style], Paris, France: conferred in Versailles with Cardinal [Fleury], Berwick, de Morville, agreeing that our operations must be confined to Austrian Low Countries; they fear to spare many men lest the Emperor attack. We await a Dutch delegate.

Leaves 11-12: Etat general des tourpes de l'Emperour 4 Feb 1730.

Leaves 13-14 are a list of the [Imperial] troops ordered to march, entered from papers "lent me by Mr Poyntz, 24 Feb 1730" [New Style]. Poyntz was Stephen Poyntz (1685-1750).
