Slides and photographs taken by Roth or others on survey trips around Kansas, scientific cruises in which Roth participated, and of Roth's classroom and students at Lawrence High School. The series also includes some commercially produced slides that Roth presumably used in his teaching or workshops and programming with other groups. Roth grouped slides by birds; invertebrates; vertebrates; plants; and trips; miscellaneous and school-related slides are at the end of the series. Most slides are well identified by Roth; some were not fully categorized by Roth before he donated them to Spencer Research Library, and these slides typically remain at the end of each grouping.
