Kansas maps, circa 1950s-1990s
Scope and Contents
This series includes topographical and highway maps of Kansas, annotated by Roth and apparently related to his field work in Kansas over the years. Maps may be minimally or extensively annotated and may include names of contacts at various sites Roth was visiting, notes about caves or springs, various bird-nesting sites or good locations for seeing fossils, and information about locating and driving to specific locations. The maps are mostly grouped by their locations within Kansas; maps that arrived at Spencer Research Library have been added to those grouped locations. There was one annotated map for northeast Kansas, for Shawnee and Jackson Counties, and Roth also kept some maps grouped together for larger projects in which he was involved for Cheyenne and Wallace Counties, separate from the general location groupings.
