Written from [Tripps or Fripps] Hotel, Manchester Street, W., London Dating based on the fact that Tennyson died in 1892 and that Alfred Austin was chosen as Poet Laureate of England in 1896. Recipient might be Charles Dolman, a London publisher, or perhaps the editor of the Pall Mall Gazette or another periodical.
Blind wrote that she had just gotten a photo from one of her friends and requesting that the recipient send it back when done with it. She asked about receiving a copy of the Pall Mall Gazette of last Thursday because she heard she was amongst the poets mentioned for the Laureateship. 2 pages (1 piece), marked in pencil "Blind (7) 10/10/-"
