"Mrs. Collins [Wilkie Collins' mother?] can't get an answer from you, but I will. Calling our army together to decide what the Liverpool Exhibition has a right to expect from us. If you need a house when you come to town in autumn you could take mine. News of Lear [Edward Lear (1818-1888)]. I add a design to decorate the new clubhouse."

The letter also includes a riddle on Everett's subjugating a horse, as well as a half-page sketch of small Everett Millais in a frock with a bearded Hunt. 4 pages (1 piece), last part of letter crossed on page 1.
