Scope and Contents

This book was the exhibit catalog for the traveling exhibition "Through the Looking Glass: Drawings by Elizabeth Layton," funded through the Mid-America Arts Alliance Program, made possible by the Kansas City (Missouri) Southern Industries, Incorporated. Foreword of the book was written by Kansas City Southern Industries, acknowledgments by Mid-America Arts Alliance, introduction by Don Lambert, portrait of the artist by Lynn Bretz, photography by Suzanne Burdick. Front page autographed by Glenn F. Layton (Layton's husband), Robert E. Ault (an art therapist in Kansas), Don Lambert (Layton's promoter), Pal Wright (Layton's teacher), and Elizabeth Layton herself (to "Lynn").
