Mary Judith "Judy" Robinson's family history papers, 1861 - 2020
Scope and Contents
Judy Robinson, the daughter of Ernest and Betty Clapp Robinson, compiled folders of genealogical information regarding her ancestors and relatives while researching and writing a family history book The Robinson Family in America--Settling the Midwest. Most of the material comprises copies of original documents and photographs, correspondence between Robinson and family members and others, news clippings, and original documents and photographs.
The titles in quotations were Judy Robinson's titles on her files. Occasionally, Judy Robinson referred to herself in the titles as "JR." She often put the birth and death of the ancestor in the title of the folder to differentiate the ancestors and relatives with the same or similar names.
Since most of the materials in the folders are copies and the date of the original is unknown, the dates listed for some of the files pertain to the correspondence Judy Robinson sent or received. The files have also been kept in the order arranged by Judy Robinson when she sent this addition to Spencer.
