This series consists of materials related to William J. Griffith, director of the Center of Latin America Studies from 1970 to 1975 and a professional colleague and mentor of Stansifer's. Stansifer, executor of the Griffith estate, likely retained and then donated records related to Griffith's personal and professional life. Included in this series are drafts of chapters for a Festschrift celebrating Griffith written by his past students and organized in part by Stansifer, as well as material about Shirley Lucas, Griffith's late wife, and her family.
