Scope and Contents

Three sections: "A poem remembered for 67 years by Wm L. Bullene" regarding the Marais de Cygne massacre and a poem that appeared in an issue of the 1858 Atlantic Monthly; "Boys Watch Lawrence Burn," reminscences told by John Harrell at the 1925 Quantrill's Raid survivor reunion held at the University of Kansas; and "A Mother's Plea Saved His Life," told by Bullene regarding his own mother's plea to spare his life when two late-arriving men that were part of Quantrill's group came to the Bullene family home.
