The author is the mother of Francis Harper. Inscription on inside front cover is from Wilhelmina Harper to "John Tower White, great-nephew of the author Bertha Tauber Harper." Inside front cover also has the inscription "Molly Harper" and an adhesive label with David Harper's name and address.
