Scope and Contents

This series represents records categorized as “office and personal” by Stockton and predominately contains correspondence but also includes publications, meeting minutes, pamphlets, newspaper clippings, conference and event programs, university course outlines, program proposals, reference publications, studies, statistical data, research notes, meeting minutes and agendas, lecture and oral history transcripts, and newsletters.

Some of the organizations more significantly represented in this series include National Association of Cost Accountants, Education for Foreign Industry and Trade, American Association of Collegiate Schools of Business, Missouri Valley Regional Planning Commission, Kansas Chamber of Commerce, Kansas Conference on Government Information and Instruction Services, Kansas Survival Plan Project, National Resources Planning Board, Unemployment Compensation Division, Governor’s Committee on Employment, Kansas Economic Council, and Kansas City Management Association. This series also includes correspondence with graduates of the School of Business.

Topics discussed in this series include but are not limited to publicity committees, public service councils, university committees, business fraternities, civil defense, drivers’ education, steelworkers, business education, class schedules, unions, the Kansas banking situation, self-help activities, mineral and manufacturing industries, employment opportunities, manpower studies, and traffic safety conferences.
