Personal correspondence, 1923 - 1996

This series covers Chancellor Malott’s personal correspondence beginning in 1923, just two years after he graduated from KU, and ending with his death in 1996. There is also correspondence with Malott’s family and other documents pertaining to the immediate aftermath of Malott’s death.

While there are some documents from his time as chancellor, most of the correspondence is from after Malott left KU, including extremely detailed records of his travels, press releases, and reports by Malott. These documents paint a rich picture of Deane Malott’s time at Cornell University and in retirement.
