General correspondence, 1960 - 1969
Scope and Contents
This series covers Chancellor Wescoe’s correspondence with various entities throughout the duration of his leadership. During his time as Chancellor, Wescoe saw increased campus unrest, with protests against segregation and the Vietnam war becoming more widespread. These documents also show Wescoe’s continued expansion of the KU campus, with a building boom and the sometimes controversial destruction of several older buildings on campus.
