Number 10. New York: Herkimer County, Adirondack. On Little Black Creek, half a mile west of Black Creek Lake. Deer tracks and trails were numerous on the beaver meadow. In the neighboring woods were such Canadian zone birds as olive-sided flycatcher, red-breasted nuthatch, winter wren, hermit thrush, olive-backed thrush, golden-crowned kinglet, black-throated blue warbler, black-throated green warbler, ovenbird, northern water-thrush, Canadian warbler, red crossbill, slate-colored junco and white-throated sparrow.
