Grand Lake o' the Cherokees

Grand Lake o' the Cherokees was created after a Works Progress Administration project to construct the Pensacola Dam on the Grand River. Construction was completed in 1940, and the dam has been run by the Grand River Dam Authority, a state agency in Oklahoma, since 1946.
