Amster[dam]. Letter. Glad that I warned you in time not to alienate the Duke. Reasons for no peace this year. Had hoped people would have been tired of "turning out"; well, we should get our offices on a sound footing. Mr Sweet or I will be happy to do something about Col More's [Moore's?] bills, since he's a friend of yours. I'm off for the army to take leave of the Duke, so direct your letter under Mr Cardinalls cover. Characterises Duke
