General

From aboard the Royal Sovereign off Plymouth. Letter [to Arthur Moore]. My Captain discharged the Pinke, alas, but the master will trade corn till winter, when I hope to have him my tender again; many thanks. Lord P boarded Wed night, we sailed yesterday morning, and are awaiting Sir George Byng and Colonel Rivers regiment; then off probably to the Mediterranean; I'll write you the secret from Lisbon. Service to Mrs Moore, Lord Treasurer, Mr Craggs, Mr Brydges, Mr St John. Though I cannot treat Mrs Moore "in a Japan roome" with pleasant views, I hope to invite her aboard on my return; my wife at Tunbridge would like a visit from her
