Letter. The dauphine is dead and the Stocks are dying; nothing but the death of the warr will raise credit. Stock prices. They talk the French have some expedition in view. Thomas Smith came from Holland bringing Mr Secretary letters, and thanks you. The person I bought the enclosed ballad of [no enclosure in papers at Spencer] told me their would be A Smart one Out next week against the present Lord Treasurer...which I think he deserves...
