Shadwell, Sir John of Windmill St, and Charles Hayes of Harrow. Bond to James Blake of St Giles in the Fields and Arthur Moore of Fetcham. Sir James Hays, late of Bedgebury, Kent appointed his wife Rachell Lady Dowager Falkland and his Brother John Hayes (both dead) and James Blake and Arthur Moore Executors. He left messuages in Windmill St and Rupert St [to] Francis Hayes late of the Inner Temple. James (son of James Hayes) agreed to sell Sir John Shadwell Rupert St, but before doing so (having by reason of his father's debts been obliged to retire into Ireland) he appointed John Lord Ashburnham his attorney (at Antrim, 28 June 1716) to pay off the Mortgage to Francis Hayes with Shadwell's money. Court of Chancery ordered 27 Jan 1727 (cause between James Hayes and Eliz his wife, and James Blake and Arthur Moore) that when Shadwell paid the mortgage to the representatives of Frances Hayes they should assign the same to "him." Indenture of lease and release of this date between Charles Hayes of Harrow (nephew and heir of late Francis Hayes) and John Bourne (executor of Francis Hayes); James Hayes, John Blake, Arthur Moore; Shadwell. Indentur of assignment between Mary Tobin (widow and executor of Maurice Tobin who the father and administrator of Edmond Tobin late of the Inner Temple; administrator of Edmond Tobin), John Bourne, Charles Hayes; James Hayes, James Blake, Arthur Moore; Arthur Onslow, Martin Bladen (Commissioner of Trade); Shadwell. Deeds executed by Arthur Moore and James Blake. This bond void if Shadwell and Charles Hayes holds Arthur Moore and James Blake harmless. Witnesses: John sharpe, Henry Roberts
