General
Broadstreete, London. Copy of deposition by Arthur Moore. Aged 28 or thereabouts, being produced as a witness on the behalf of the Complainants. He knows the hand of the late Duke of Albemarle (because on the arrival of the wreck ship in June 1687 he was concerned for the said Duke and partners in that affair and often saw him sign papers) and believes the documents dated 1682-1688 are in the Duke's hand. In 1681 he first met the Defendant the Earle of Bath in the affair of the aulnage and recognizes his signature... Was a witness to several of the documents, and has some documents signed by the Duke. Believes the lease signed 15 July 1681 is not in the hand of the Duke; and said so when Bath first produced it on 25 Sept. 1689. Believes the endorsement and additions to the draught of a 1681 deed are in Bath's hand. Believes the interlineations in the 23 Aug 1675 will of the Duke are in Bath's hand
