Docketed: Duchess of Albemarle's indisposition. [Probable draft of deposition. First sheet begins: "About the 2[2?] March 1689 the Duchess was taken ill the first Syntomes being Extreame Laughter and afterwards Barking and Howleing like a dogg and soe continued for above a moneth, before I knew the Truth of the matter. On the 20 Aprill... I was sent for to come to her Grace" and told she wanted £1200 from me. Dr Sloane in charge at New Hall; Mr Pierce the apothecary and Dr Barrick; symptoms of insanity and treatment; Duchess of Newcastle directed me how to proceed with her daughter; told me to give Lord Brandon Duke of Albemarle's George and Collar; I could never compose her 6 minutes to anything... 2nd sheet begins "then she wou'd flare upon me... I attempted to give her an accountt of her business"; Lord Thanet tried to get me to join in the suit after the D. of Newcastle's death... the pretended marriage [to Lord Montague?] 3rd sheet: "next morning to Enquire..." Her family has not been able to get a sight of her since. Lists of witnesses, including A. Moore.
