London. Letter to Uncle Thomas Moore, Ockley. Meese has paid Rhodes and taken the probate. The Lamp Office allows me to view their books. Collier won't give Meese the deeds; he says they've paid off half of the Old East India adventurers and hopes to get us a good sum thence on Gibbon's return. Don't worry about Hutchinson affair: Sandys showed me father's deed of 1692, and I found a general Release by Mr Smithe, H's executor. Meese optimistic. Robinson and the Gold Mines. My illness
