General

Letter to Colonel Moore, Pollesden. Received yours without date by Mr Akehurst. Happy to wait on you and Mr Moore concerning the Trust in a week; but am city bred and do not understand country affairs and cannot appraise your estates. Mr Akehurst tells me he told you I got Lord Grantham's suit stopped. I have stayd matters in Lord Montrath's business, with angry Mr Moore, who now owns part of the money to be his owne and requires to retain Randalls rent in lieu of interest, which I could not refuse, and was mixed up in the Grantham affair. I gave Akehurst a Rentall of Leatherhead, but purchasers will require a particular of the different tenures; land is falling. What about an ad for Fetcham? The gardens should be repaired. Service to your nephew
