Letter for the Colonel [Thomas Moore]. Jemy was with Perkins and saw some body he was afraid of so went to Chelsea and Hayes is very kind to him; he says he's going to you I'm afraid he cannot last very long his lungs are gon I'm pretty sure. I've seen Mrs; she said how hardly she'd been used by the family, no money to buy mourning, though Sir George Cooch had sent for her she would not turn against the family; I did not let on that she could stop the sale; I think she would take money--send me £50 quickly. Brinsdon ill at Bath. Missed Lord Grantham; shall write to forestall any ridiculous orders he may leave behind him. Ye Town stinks and theirs nobody in it. Hope to be with you in Polesden soon; Billingsly says its fryday the 6th in the Comons
