General
An Act for sale of the estates of William Moore, Esq, in the counties of Sussex, Surrey, and Stafford, for Payment of Debts and Legacies. Mr Moore, late of Polesden (Bookham, Surrey), made will 28 April 1744. Executors should erect a monument to his late uncle Thomas Moore and one for himself...the Remainder should be settled as his real-estate (Ockly, Polesden, Stumbleholme, Prodley, and in Warnham parish): to Francis Lord North and Guilford and Thomas Parr in trust for North and Guilford's son Frederick with remainder in tail male; if Frederick no heirs to John Moore, esq, 2d son of the Hon and Red Dr Henry Moore...in tail male; if John no heirs, to John Parr eldest son of Thomas Parr (assuming the name of Moore). North and Guilford and Thomas Parr executors. Codicil 2 June 1746 adding Mrs Jane Woodman, Mrs Elizabeth Smith, and Zebedee Lovemore as legatees. But he had mortgages of £9800 (of which Parr has paid 3340 to William Glanville arising from the sale on an estate of William Moore in Staffordshire directed to be sold by an Act of Parliament in the lifetime of the said William Moore), judgements, bonds, etc circa £2000, and simple contracts circa £2000; very little personal estate; and income of only £400 which scarcely pays the interest. So the will should be set aside and the following detailed lands should be sold
