Moore, Arthur, etc. Declaration of trust concerning the Browne marriage settlement. Party 1: Thomas Hobbs of St Clement Danes Doctor in Physick, and Peter Vansittart of London Merchant. Party 2: Edward Browne of St Dunstans in the West Doctor in Physick, and Arthur Moore of the City of London, Esq. Recites 1 above--the marriage since solemnized. And whereas by Indenture of Bargaine and sale 23 Nov 1692, and by indenture of release 23 Nov 1692 between 1: Thomas Berenger of Iver Esq, Richard Berenger of the Inner Temple, gent. son 2: Hobbs and Vansittart, the Berengers have granted for £6000 to H[obbs] and V[ansittart] the rectory and church of Wingrove (Bucks), and also other messuages described in the indentures and everything they own in Wingrove, Rowsham, and Stoake Mandevile (Bucks). And whereas the Berengers or Arthur Moore as customary tenant of the Manor of Iver or Ever (Bucks) surrendered into the hands of the lord of the manor on 23 Nov 1692 to the use of Hobbs and Vansittart (under condition of redemption if T Berenger paid Hobbs and Vansittart £6300 by 24 Nov 1693). And whereas by indentures [same date] the Berengers have granted to Hobbs and Vansittart the wood called [W?]arewood next to Thorny Common and the meadow next to Drayton Moor in Iver now in the tenancy of William Fountaine. And whereas by indenture of defeasance made same date between Hobbs and Vansittart and Berenger's it was declared that the lands were the security for the £6000, to be returned if £6,300 repaid. Now this indenture witnesseth that the £6000 belongs to Edward Browne and Arthur Moore, and Hobbs and Vansittart promise to pay Arthur Moore the interest [recites more of 1 above]; Susanna to have 4500 at death of Arthur Moore in place of her dower-thirds, and 1500 to Arthur Moore's executors. If Arthur Moore and Susanna die leaving children, pay £6000 and interest to Executors of Arthur Moore. Signed and sealed by Hobbs, Vansittart, Browne [?], and Arthur Moore.
