Carrie A. Hall's hand-drawn patterns
Scope and Contents
Each envelope contains hand-drawn paper pattern pieces and is labeled with a small photocopy of the pattern and various names for the pattern. According to page 73 in Barbara Brackman’s article, Betty Hagerman and Helen Ericson separated Hall’s patterns each into its own envelope prior to 1982.
A card in the front of the first box says, “Patterns checked with plates” in red marker. Most envelopes are marked with numbers in the same red marker. All of the patterns can be matched to the quilt blocks available at the Helen Spencer Museum of Art, excepting the last section for which the blocks were not made.
