The bulk of the collection relates to Evan Wright's career with the Kansas Department of Health, particularly his retirement in the 1970s, and his creative writing endeavors. This series has been organized into several sub-series, including one for personal papers; Wright's work with the Kansas Food and Drug Division; and three sub-series related to writing for mechanical magazines, for short stories and other fictional works, and his newspaper columns after retirement in the Hiawatha Daily World. Oversize materials are described at the end of each sub-series as appropriate.
