Includes mostly photocopies dealing with the Wilburn, Logan, Lewis, Brown, Georgia, Shinn and Hayden families. Some 1970s Lewis-Logan family newsletters concern the family organizing reunions and dealing with family property in Lake View, Kansas, just north of Lawrence, along with photocopies from the book Soil of Our Souls about the creation of Clinton Lake.

Also includes a draft speech by archaeologist Jimmy S. Johnson detailing the life of his great-grandfather, George Washington, who was enslaved by the Miller family on land that is now a part of the Kansas City International Airport in Platte City, Missouri.
