Colored sketch of head and breast with numerous notes. Identity from text of Pteroglossus flavirostris, Monograph of the Ramphastidae, or family of toucans 2: 29. In the published text Gould writes that he went to Paris to study the specimen at the Museum of Natural History. ?"Remark on the stand Pterogloss negredans the gift of Monsieur Goson[?] de caxamarguilla and lama . . .
