IV: 1); a largely illegible note in ink signed J.G., refers to areas on a wing which have been scratched to show white (cf. Gould item 2240); at foot "Temporal Pomatorhinus / [Piccadilly notes] 22/2620 / 30/-" (Sotheran's book catalogue reference and price). Previously cited as GS1 or 1GS (and so marked in pencil).
